Argentina captivates visitors with its endless blend of inspiring nature, historical landmarks, and vibrant cities.
Begin by soaking up the attractions and atmosphere of Buenos Aires, known for its European charm, eclectic architecture, tango music, and historical landmarks. It’s one of my favourite cities anywhere in the world.
While visiting the capital, be sure to explore the contemporary backdrop of Palermo, the bohemian vibe of San Telmo, the elegant architecture of Recoleta, and the colourful street art of La Boca.
For those seeking nature, travel down to the county’s most southern point, Ushuaia, often dubbed the ‘gateway to Antarctica’. While exploring Patagonia, no trip is complete without hiking the plains and peaks of El Chalten, and seeing first-hand the extraordinary Perito Moreno.
Finally, if you’re still seeking more adventure, head to the high Northern regions of Jujuy and Salta famed for its high-altitude desert landscape. I recommend hiring a car to experience all the geological rock formations along Route 68 – the famous drive from Salta to Cafayate.
