The place where I was born, and the place I call home. I’d love to show you why a visit to England is always a good idea, no matter what time of year.
It really doesn’t matter whether you’ve lived in England all your life, or whether you’re visiting from afar, there’s always plenty to discover. Our countryside lanes, coastal trails and historic towns will invigorate even the most wizened of world-weary travellers.
If you’re looking to immerse yourself in city life then London is your answer. If it’s a little too big and busy for you, I recommend escaping to charming medieval cities like Oxford, Cambridge and Canterbury which will make you feel like you’ve been transported back in time.
When the sun is shining, make a journey toward coastal towns such as Whitstable, Rye and Deal. For those keen on walking and hiking, a journey around the Kent and Sussex coastline is the place to go. For something more mountainous head up to the Peak District or Lake District.
Speaking of the north, cities like Leeds, Liverpool, and Manchester have almost everything our capital has to offer but on a smaller scale. If you’re looking for historical charm and ancient architecture, a trip to Durham located in northeast England delivers that and more.
On this blog you will find inspiration to create your own itineraries and plenty of information needed to prepare for your own trip to England.
